A
nostalgic view of the wonderful
Dance
Pavilion at Grand Beach,
(circa
1941) It was a meeting place
as
a community hall for all the
cottagers.
Everyone looked forward
to
the Sunday Concerts. Cottagers
who
could play an instrument or sing
participated
and Mr. Philip Jones, the
Beach
Superintendent was the Master
of
Ceremonies. my brother Vic, who
was
a lifeguard with me in 1942 put on
a
skit (with several other workers at the
beach)
in "The Shooting of Dan McGrew"
and
I played solo on my violin.
